The thing I always liked about Squirrel Girl is that she’s a throwback to the old Silver Age heroes that make zero sense and shouldn’t help them fight crime at all (DOLL MAN! With the power to… Shrink. And that’s it. No strength, no speed, nothing, just shrinking powers.). So I get the feeling this book is going to be silly-for-the-sake-of-silliness, with character-driven moments happening when she appears in other titles. I don’t remember what title or issue run it was, but there was a really good character arc just after Civil War where she followed Penance around and kept reminding him how much more fun he was as Speedball.
